Swing Trail

Set your soul free on the Swing Trail in Mönichkirchen

Lean back, swing back and forth, see-saw and enjoy the view. The Swing Trail at the Mönichkirchen Schwaig is a varied circular hiking trail with see-saws, swings and relaxation points for the whole family.

You can often tell when children are really enjoying a hiking trip because they’re always a few metres in front of you. This is roughly how you can imagine a day out to the Swing Trail at the Mönichkirchen Schwaig. The circular hiking trail is a massive adventure playground for young explorers and has 17 stations - including a May carousel, milk jug skittles and relaxation points - also relaxation for adults.

Super cool! Hiking fun with Lella the cow.

Families can easily reach the starting point for the 2.7-kilometre-long Swing Trail (walking time: around 2 - 2.5 hours) by taking the Sonnenbahn 4-person chairlift. Curious hikers always come across the mascot Lella on the trail. At each station, this small cows tells a short story about life on the mountain pasture.

New attractions for even more fun

Since the summer of 2017, the Swing Trail has had four further attractions - a balancing parcours, Alpine slide, Lella swing and Alpine climbing tower. They all lead to the Alpine swing, a viewing platform with hanging chairs and a breathtaking view over the Mönichkirchen Schwaig.

The Swing Trail is accessible at all times. The swings are removed at the end of the summer season and remounted at the start of the summer season (as soon as the ground is no longer frozen, i.e. fall protection is restored).
